When I was taking an evening walk in Lenox, I saw this abandoned building that drew my attention. It was definitely not a house anybody lived in, nor looked like a shack or barn that was adjacent to anybody’s residence. It just stood there abandoned. I found it odd, and oddly attracted to it. The houses in this neighborhood was rather nice. They weren’t mansions or beautiful homes with manicured gardens but nice. But this building stood alone and was in a sad shape. Not loved by anyone. I don’t know if it had anything to do with my mood that might have been affected by the quiet fall evening stroll in a unfamiliar location. At the same time, I thought it would make a beautiful image. The darkness from the twilight was approaching but there was still a little bit of day light that brought out nice colors of brown pine needles, wood siding of the house and green lawn. It was not dark enough to use long exposure but I wonder what it would have looked like if I used long exposure with slow aperture.
