Mission Mural Arts Alley – Lilac Street

Mission Alley

Mission mural arts is popular among visitors, and some of them are very elaborate and impressive. But this alley, Lilac Street, which spans only two blocks between 24th and 26th Street behind Mission Street is not know for its mural arts, or at least that’s what I thought. I have never walked through this street, because it is usually pretty trashy, and I have never seen a tour go through this alley, either. The other day, I was walking down on 25th Street and I glanced over toward 24th Street for no reason. I thought it had grungy and gloomy mood, and I liked contrasting splash of colors from the buildings and murals. After I came home, I looked up online about Lilac Street’s mural arts. Despite the look, murals are actually not bad. I should take a walk through the alley and see the murals for myself.
