I avoid photographing people in general. I don’t feel comfortable and don’t want to be responsible for any of my bad shots. So, I was not sure if I wanted to bring my camera to my friends’ wedding this past weekend. But I did. I thought I’d take photos of wedding cakes, decorations, drinks, etc. that may or may not have people in them. And I am glad I did. While only handful of my shots turned out good, I am very happy to see my photos captured happy moments in various people. I suppose this is what drives Wedding Photographers to stay in the business. I would still not want to be responsible for photographing one of the most important days of people’s lives, but I understand the joy much better now.
When I saw this wedding trio playing, I instantly thought it would make a good black and white image. I don’t shoot in black and white, but there was strong contrast in the trio’s clothes and instruments – I wish the cello player worn different color of suits, so his cello would stand out more. There were also lots of soft colors and texture that would turn into many shades of gray, which makes black and white image interesting. I am posting the color version and hope you agree with me.
